Our volunteers are a dynamic group of people, including parents, teachers, athletes
and business community members who are all committed to preparing and empowering
girls for a healthy and happy adolescence and adulthood. Volunteer opportunities

If you would like to get involved and help to make a difference with young girls throughout the area, simply fill out our volunteer questionnaire and send us your completed application. All new volunteers will be thoroughly screened and trained before beginning to work with our girls.
Start a site!
The first step in starting a new site is to identify a location to host the program. Most of our programs are run at schools, neighborhood clubs, recreation centers or other such similar venues. The program location is responsible for providing:
· A contact person at the site to coordinate with GOTR of Greater Lynchburg the distribution of registration material, scheduling of coaches and communication.
· A safe place for running. This does not have to be a track; a park, playground or gym is acceptable. However, it is necessary to measure off part of that area on occasions when lessons require running a certain distance .
· A place to meet in case of inclement weather
· A pick-
· Two coaches to be trained by GOTR Greater Lynchburg. Coaches must also have CPR and 1st Aid Certification.
